Kathryn Cheng

Graduate Student

Kathryn's research interests lie in paleoceanography, paleoclimate, and chemical oceanography. She is primarily interested in using chemical proxies from sediment cores to determine the role of the Southern Ocean during the Pleistocene climate evolution. Studying the past climate can provide us with datasets to help us understand the sensitivity of the climate system to changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and deepen our understanding of the climate crisis.
